"Living for Change" - living every moment to make a positive difference in the world
Living for Change is an initiative of the Youth Future Project to feature the work of visionaries who are making a positive difference in the world. Many of them have foregone possible careers with high salaries to work instead with little money, but making a huge impact.
In the first of the series they focus on Alyn Ware, Director of the Basel Peace Office, Coordinator of Parliamentarians for Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament and Co-founder of UNFOLD ZERO, a global campaign platform for nuclear abolition.

Alyn is a former kindergarten teacher from New Zealand who established peace education programs in schools throughout the country, and helped New Zealand prohibit nuclear weapons nationally, before moving overseas to promote global nuclear disarmament and an end to war.
In 2009, Alyn received the Right Livelihood Award “…for his effective and creative advocacy and initiatives over two decades to further peace education and to rid the world of nuclear weapons.”
Alyn lives primarily from a suitcase - advocating for nuclear abolition at the United Nations (New York and Geneva), in key capitals and parliaments, and in other forums around the world. The Living for Change video was filmed on location in Basel and Geneva - with additional footage from actions and events organised by Alyn in other countries.

Living for Change team
Living for Change is founded and led by Kai Stoeckel and Eva Bracht. Kai is studying at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film in Munich to become a film director. He is the cinematic pillar of the project. Eva is one of the founding members of the Youth Future Project e.V. Other friends from the Youth Future Project are helping Eva and Kai with production and promotion of the videos, many of which will feature other inspiring recipients of the Right Livelihood Award - sometimes called the 'Alternative Nobel Peace Prize.'
The Youth Future Project was established by youth in order to bring young people together with laureates of the Right Livelihood Award. Such inter-generational exchange inspires youth and ensures that the work of the Right Livelihood Laureates is expanded and continued. YFP helps youth to develop concrete and effective actions and initiatives using the experience they learn in dialogue with the laureates. The issues cover a broad variety of topics such as peace, environment, justice and sustainable development.
