About the event
On January 19 this year, participants from more than 50 countries in the Basel Intergenerational Forum on Peace, the Climate, Nuclear Disarmament and the Pandemic voted to decide the winners of the 2021 PACEY (Peace, nuclear Abolition and Climate Engaged Youth) Award.
The winners were a project the Platform for Peace and Humanity (Slovakia) to advance the legal and human right to peace through a Global Coalition of Youth Ambassadors, and a project of World's Youth for Climate Justice to take the issue of climate change to the International Court of Justice (World Court).
In this event, youth leaders will introduce the two projects, discuss the importance of them to protect peace and the climate for current and future generations, and give updates on how their campaigns are progressing.
