Applying human rights law to address existential threats to humanity

The event will address human rights law relating to nuclear weapons and climate change, outline challenges made in the Universal Periodic Review (44th Session of the UPR Working Group) regarding the nuclear weapons policies of Russia and the nuclear weapons and climate policies of Canada and Germany, and discuss the current submissions phase of the International Court of Justice Advisory Opinion on Climate Change.
